Cosplay and Crafts~

Hello again~~~! How is everyone so far? Good weekends I hope!

I'm really excited since I just picked up some stuff from Michael's that I'm so excited about! Mostly stuff for decoden, but I can use some for other stuff as well~ (like glitter hot glue sticks, new exacto knife blades, etc.)

My most favorite thing is... TRANSLUCENT SCULPY!!!!! It's SO amazing!! The consistency of it is a lot more.... not creamy, but more malleable, and it has a slight transparency (not clear though) so you can see stuff through it!
I used it here to make Bubble Gum Ice Cream!!


I mixed the translucent with some sky blue clay, and then a little regular blue clay. as you can see, in some parts you can see the gumballs through the clay, just like the ice cream! You can't get that effect with regular clay, so it's really exciting! :D


Here are the ice creams once finished! The syrup/sauce is sculpy bake + bond (TLS substitute kinda~) mixed with pastels for color, and the whipped cream is bake + bond mixed with regular white sculpy for thickness :3 I love how these turned out!! I gave them to my niece for her 6th birthday party yesterday :D <3

So last week (week before? idk) I made a cherry pie for Rachel!!

But, as you can see, most of my little cherries fell out when I sliced it :(. And I'm not super happy with the 'baked' effect paint job, as I only had nail polish in weird colors and lame q-tips (they were bad quality q-tips, lolol). Sooo, I'm currently working on my second pie! I'm still gonna keep my first set of slices, and use them for deco or something, but I know what I can improve to make it much yummier and prettier! :D

Now for cosplay talk!!!!
My coworker/boss Jona is gonna be Sailor Moon for our group, so I've been helping her lookup stuff like wig, boots, etc. But the wig!! Right now we're pretty much at- 1)She commissions someone good to make it for her, which would probably cost a lotttttt, and who knows how long it'll take, 2) Rachel's friend who HANDMAKES AMAZING LOOKING WIGS!!! Rachel is gonna ask her if she could make it, or at least the base and we do the rest, but since she hand makes it it might get really expensive, too. We'll see!! orrr, 3) We/I make the wig for her! After looking up tutorials, materials, etc., I'm pretty confident if we have to go that way. It will involve dying a wig, making odangos, stubbing, styling, but since we can buy a pre-parted wig, I don't think it'd be tooo hard, and it be around $70 - $80, which isn't bad for a Sailor Moon wig~
So once we get word back from Rachel's friend, and look up some commissioners, we'll see!

Andddd, after researching wig dying (the fw ink method), I really want to use it for my Sailor Pluto and Hanon wigs, too! For Pluto, there are noooooooo wigs that are just how I want it! (super super dark green almost black), and no wig is bright enough/the right color for Hanon! For Pluto, I think I'm gonna get a long dark green wig, and since the black fw ink is actually black (not like sharpie black lmao), add black to it until it's dark enough! And for Hanon, I'll try to get a long white curly wig, and make the custom blue/aqua/turquise/sky blue to dye it with! My only concern is, since it'd be precurled, is if I could dye it without it being streaky, but maybe if I do it slowly and carefully i could work. (I dyed a curled wig before, but I was just like whatever and dyed the whole thing without taking time to do it section by section xD) so I know it'll come out better next time!!

That reminds me, I have a lot of work to do on my Hanon mock-up! Tim took a look at it and gave me some critiques, so now I know what to work on/fix. For the skirt, I need to add a layer of ruffles, fix the volume/density of the ruffles, and then adjust my bodice for a better fit/placement~ I should start looking up boots/start working on boot covers!
Oh, should I make my little stars out of sculpy, or resin...? hm~~~~

Oh, I need to start on my Pluto staff, too!! Ahhhhh! Time to get crackin'! One week of January left peoples~~

New Year, New Life, New Blog!

Wow, it's been a while, huh?! I can't believe I haven't written an entry in about a year TT______TT~
Well, I'm changing that today!!! As part of my new life regiment, I've decided that I need to blog again! But unlike before, I'm not gonna limit my musings to only past tour memories, or kpop, or cosplay, or deco, or cakes, or sewing.... I want to write it all!! Whatever I'm feeling, whatever I'm thinking, I just want to let it out/share it all! :D

I'll start off by talking about all my new endeavors!

First- I have a jobbbbbb!!!! I am a sandwich artist at Quiznos :D~ I worked here already about... 4 or 5 years ago? (back in 2006), but I only worked for the summer/fall, so only a few months and that was it. Now everything is totally different! I mean, the fundamental ideas are the same, but the details have been all switched up on me! It's hard to re-learn everything, but I'm trying my best and I love it! anddd, our perks are WAY better this time around!! Not only do we get free sandwiches, but FREE MOVIES! OMG! (Saw Black Swan for free today! It was SOOOO crazy, omg.. but, that's another story xD). So far I really like my coworkers, especially my bosses!! They're not scary or intimidating which makes me want to do my best! :D I just started working like.. 2 weeks ago? I hope I wont be too tired/have scheduling problems once school starts, so we'll see how things go~ :3
Oh, and I'm trying to taste most of the sandwiches/items off our menu! I say most because I'm a little picky, so every sandwich might not be exactly how it's supposed to be (like everything without tomatoes or onions, lol), but the best way to learn/sell everything is to taste it myself! :D So far all I've had are the Triple Meat Club, Chicken Carbenara, and Oven Roasted Turkey~ Tomorrow I'll get..... Honey Mustard Chicken? :D
Andddd, one of my coworkers, Jona, goes to anime conventions and loves cosplay and loves pokemon and loves yo gabba gabba, I love her!!! :DDDD I'm so excited!! I've asked her if she wants to be Sailor Moon for our cosplay group, and she said yeah! :DD

Which brings me to my next bullet point: Cosplay!!
Oh how I've missed it!! I haven't cosplayed/gone to a convention in.. over two years now...? WOW. That's WAYY too long, lol! It's about time I make my big comeback! :D So far I only have two cons planned for the year, and several costumes. I'm going at it with a completely new outlook, though! I keep holding on to certain mantras such as 'Work smarter, not harder!', 'Measure twice, cut once', 'Don't put all your eggs in one basket', etc. Those really inspire me to do my best without rushing things/giving anything less than 100% of my best into it! Like before, cosplay was all about quantity versus quality, and I never set solid deadlines/checkpoints so I never even ending up finish costumes as well as I'd like. I'm ahead of the game this time! I love making mock-ups of costumes (making the garment out of muslin to get the look/measurements/etc. right before you use the actual fabric), and then using that to make the costume perfect! And I'm starting off slow- (well, at least slow for me!), and not overloading my plate with costumes, limiting myself to one costume a day for a convention, etc. I'm really excited and have already been working hard!
At the moment, I'm currently working on Hanon from Mermaid Melody! So excited to be a frilly singing mermaid :D hehe~

I've also been working a LOT with polymer clay (like sculpy!) making little mini sweats and treats in order to decoden stuff! Decoden is a Japanese term which means basically decorating the crap out of something, LOL! But seriously, decoden gets SOOOOO adorable!!! I love it so much, and it's so easy to do yourself! I'll post up some pictures soon of all the stuff I've made/decorated so far :DD

Another thing that I've been working on is my body~ Normally, I am SUCHHH an inactive person. Sitting for 20+ hours? no biggie. lol! But I'm trying to change that!! Not only am I a lot more active and out-and-about because of work, but I've been playing WiiFit [pretty much] everyday!! :D It's so fun, relaxing, and good for me! :D. I've also ben trying to eat healthier, drink more water, etc. ^^

Oh yeah! My 365 project!! I am challenging myself as a[n amateur] photographer to take a photo every single day for the whole year!! So far so good (haven't missed a day!) so yayyy! I have all my pictures uploaded on facebook so far, but I'll post them here from now on, as well! ^^

Something I have to work on more is studying Korean! I was studying/learning a lot during school, but I've been so busy lately I've kind of put it on the back burner TT____TT, but, starting now, I will try to get better at Korean!! 화이팅!!! ^^ (I've already decided to learn Quiznos terms in Korean and practice at work, haha~ :3

Okay. I have a ton more I want to/can talk about, but it's wiifit time!! I'll write more next time~~ I will be sure to update often!! :DD

Phew, even writing this much has been therapeutic already! Maybe it's because I was going crazy after seeing Black Swan today, LOL!

Cleveland JBWT show~

So I started to write this entry back in october, so I'll post what I wrote so far and then finish writing the rest tomorrow x3

'Okay. I don't even know who reads this still, but I guess I'll keep writing?
Plus I like reliving summer memories... <3

So we're in the hotel room in Cleveland, OH.
It's really late in the night/morning. I go to sleep. I wake up a few hours later... D: haha.
I was really nervous. I needed to get to the hotel where the Wonder Girls and JB etc were at by noon. but Sarah, Kasey and Ashley were really tired and needed to sleep so I couldn't get a ride from them. I asked our friends who were also staying in the same hotel as us if maybe they could give me a ride, but they had already left. DD: What do I do?! The hotel I needed to get to was really close.. but it was still a few blocks away, plus, I'd never been to OH so it's not like I knew my way around....
I ended up googling the hotel and walking. I only wore pants and my Wonder Girls shirt.. no jacket. Plus, I had on sandals.
And guess what?
It was raining. And REALLY cold. D:

I was really scared and nervous as I was walking. I didn't want to be late so I had to walk fast in order to get there in time. My sandals were really slippery as I walked, so I kept slipping and I was afraid of twisting my ankle or something D:. I was getting really wet ugh. I kept walking... I had to ask this stranger where the hotel was because it was a confusing area. He was reallyy nice, and walked me to the hotel thing.
I saw the bus parked right out there and no one was in it yet. Phew!!
I sat there and waited for a bit, and slowly one by one WG crew and WG came out~
I sat and waited with Elise for a while!! Elise is awesome and she films stuff for JB, WG, HS, etc.
We were laughing because we both wore the same shirt (WG shirt) and like jeans so we were like 'this is our uniform for today!!', hahaha!
So they're like c'mon, and we get on the bus.

the tour buses are sooo nice inside omg!
and they each have TWELVE (12) bunks! omg!
And WG bus driver was sooooooooo nice, I love him <33 :DD
Elise and I walked to he back lounge (hehehe) and sat there with Yenny, Sun, and Yoobin! (Sohee closed off the back lounge from the bunk area haha)
As soon as I got in the bus, the girls were like are you hungry?! (I was STARVING) But I said no. They told me the had korean food there if I wanted any! :O
They asked me if I ever had Korean ice cream.. I told them I hadn't, and they were like 'We have some here if you want some!!!' (OMG so nice! ;_;)
One of them handed me these Korean cookie/cracker things... yumyum! I ate one and saved the other one hehe
We had bonding time on that bus ride haha. I told Yoobin about how we're practically neighbors since I grew up right by San Jose :D.
And then they taught Elise and I some Korean! We learned Nanen Rosie imnida! and I forget what else we learned then hah.
The bus ride was really short, since we only rode it to progressive stadium :O.
We got to the stadium, and got introduced to these people (They were like in charge of the Indians (baseball team) and like marketing managers, etc.)
We walked through the 'backstage' areas of the field, and then made it up to like the middle section seats right in front of home base, where you could see out to the whole field/stadium and the huge marquees in the back. They had them set up to have the Wonder Girls logo and stuff :D :D
The girls had to film commercials because they were going to go back in September for one of the baseball games/food festival right there at Progress Field in Cleveland. I got to be there and watch them rehearse and film the whole thing.. it's so cool to be on the behind the scenes part of it all!
The lady who works for the team went and brought a bunch of Cleveland Indians jackets because it was soooooo cold!! I got to wear one and so did some staff people. WG put them on after their filming was done x3.

Then they went off to meet some important people, but I stayed behind with Emma, the girls' make-up artist. She is SOOO sweet, I love her!!!! We were both like, 'why haven't we become friends sooner on this tour!??!' haha <33
When we went to meet back up with everyone... they were gone?

Thankfully, the field was literally RIGHT next to the venue. We went to the venue, but they wouldn't let me in since Hana still had my pass and I didn't have it yet... :O
Emma was a sweetheart and stayed outside and waited with me... omg!! She didn't have to do that but she was like 'Nooo, I don't want to leave you alone!!' :OO <33333

After a bit, David, Moon and Amanda came with the mics (they had left them at the field and then went back to go get them) so once they came, I got to go through security into the backstage venue thing since I was with them.
Backstage is really creepy, but it was so cool!!! I couldn't believe I was there, AHHH!
Once down there, I went to the Wonder Girls' dressing room with everyone and Hana gave me my pass! :D
I has in the dressing in a while.. yoobin was there I think. We were just like hanging out.
After a while, Hana and peeps ask if I was hungry and if I wanted to have dinner in catering... OMG!
I was starving.. plus... CATERINGG?!!?! IT'S ONLY BEEN MY DREAM SINCE BEFORE THE SHOW IN DALLAS, TX TO HAVE A BITE OF CATERING
I swore, I was going to have a bite of that food before summer no matter WHAT. I didn't care if I had to sneak back there, or get kicked out, etc, but I was gonna have some.
And here I was, on my last WT show (at the time, it was), about to go have dinner with WG in catering.... :OOOOO
We went in... and guess who was having dinner, too?? Bulldozer. omg.
All the people who work in catering are SOOOOO nice!! And it's funny, because you wouldn't think so, because they're very intimidating looking- tattoos, peircings, almost like biker/punk types... but they are the sweetest!! <3
It was still the lunch menu in catering. There were hamburgers, cheese burgers, veggie burgers, mac and cheese, baked beans, salads, french fries, uh... there was a lot more but it was like all american themed haha.
I got my food and sat with WG peeps... Sun, Hana, David, Moon, Amanda?, Yoobin, and I think Yenny.
The food was SOOOOOOOOOOOO good AHHHHHHHH. I will never ever get over it LOL.
While we were eating, Christa Black came in to eat, too :3
When we were eating, SunYe taught me some more Korean :D like... mwanaso pangawo? Something like that? haha :3 (The formal version was too hard for me at the time hahaha)
They had desserts, too... OMG! I couldn't help myself... chocolate cake!!!! fnedsjkn yum haha
after we ate, I asked Hana what I should do. She told me to just (leave backstage?) and go up and wait till later.... mmkay~
So I went up to the concourse. I walked around, and I ended up going out to the verizon bus. I was superr full and needed to walk it off LOL.
it was like empty in that area though? (like apple fries truck, verizon bus, etc) :O
I found Hannah! yayyy. Caught up with her for a bit, then we both went to meet up with Kasey and Sarah who were waiting for the JB M&G :D :D :D
So we meet up with them, and my friends Brittany and Kristen were there too!! I never thought I'd be able to meet them (since they live in Michigan) :O :DD
I was still spazzing out about catering though, ahaha. I was still sooo full!
I don't remember what happened next. I think I went inside to see if I could watch soundcheck?
I ran into Hannah's mom on the way, and she was talking to Mike, Jordin Sparks' drummer!! Hannah's mom introduced us, and I joined in their convo for a little bit.
Then I went inside~ I was sooo tired omg I wanted to nap haha.
I went and sat in some seats to see if I could watch soundcheck. I was like laying in the seat, like thiiis close to falling asleep haha. Then security came and told me I couldn't be there... T_T
So I went back to the concourse~ Ran into Bram!! Yay life ruiner~ <33
He was taking pictures of people, and took an AMAZING shot of me, hahaha!

Talked to him for a while, then I went back outside. WOW (the group) was just getting there. I ran into Paul... he needed to go to the bathroom SO bad hahaha! We tried to go to the box office (which was inside) to find one.. of course, there was none. We (me, ashley and paul) had to walk a little down the street to this one hotel so Paul could use the restroom hahaha.'

I'll write the rest tomorrow, for now, I need sleep! xD <3

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

And I mean that as both Happy 2010 and Happy year of the Tiger~!!!
I'm sorry I haven't posted since October... ㅠ_ㅠ
A lot of things happened during that time, and it made me not want to post entries any more.
I've thought about it a lot, and I think I'm going to backtrack a bit, and keep posting entries from last summer up until things that have happened recently.
I don't know if anyone still cares enough to read them, but I'm mostly going to post them all because I said I would do this, and I don't want to leave it unfinished forever.
Plus, I like having all of my memories here... it's nice to come back to them every once in a while, and plus, I forget things really easily, so at least this way I'll remember XD.

I'm starting school now, but I'm going to find the time to write these entries (I promise!)
Sorry for letting anyone down, and I promise to work harder. FIGHTING~!!

So yeah, we left Cincy and drove to Columbus, most of the way I spent sleeping by the way, haha.
I woke up and ta-da we were at the venue!
We spot Andrea (Hannah's mom) right away and say hi haha.
We go to the box office so Sarah, Ashley and Kasey can figure out their ticketing situation.
I spot David! I kind of run after him (whoops.) I ask him about Hana telling me to meet her for my work pass...?
He tells me that she's in a meeting, but that she'll be right out.
I wait in this area that has doors to backstage. I need to use the restroom, and the security lady just lets me go through and use the one backstage lolol yay.
I talk to Hana on the phone, and she tells me to meet up with Janice and that she'll bring me my pass in a while. Okie Dokie!
I wander aroundddd. Oh hi Kasey, Sarah and Ashley! Haha.
I go talk to Janice. I don't need to be there working till later. I still need/want my pass though, and Hana isn't up there yet?
I wander some more, and meet up with Hannah! We have our own Honor Society concert/dance party in the foyer/concourse. It was AWESOME.
Everyone meets up to do the HS m&g. (I don't know why I didn't go...?) Oh well.
I go join Janice at the preorder table! (Kat went to work the HS m&g)
We do Wonder Girls and Honor Society album preorders, all the while bonding and such. :D
After a while, Janice has to go, so it's just me at the table!
She leaves me a few HS preorders because someone said they'd be back to order the CDs (they never came back, LOL)
So technically I was doing both WG and HS preorders at the same time, YAY!
Sitting at the table was boring, not gonna lie bahaha.
Thankfully I had the life-ruining Verizon guy Bram to torment, I mean, entertain me.
He kept teasing me, and threw a broken JB glowstick at me (which I'm pretty sure he got from the trash.)
I laughed at him as he failed at putting away the Verizon living room thingy. LOL!
So after a whileeee and the concert was nearing it's end, David, Moon and Amanda came to set up the m&g!
There was only the Wonder Girls m&g after the show that night because HS had to go straight to Cleveland for their CRAZYASS schedule the next day (as Janice was telling me about it, I was like 'How is that even possible????' hahaha. They are superhuman)
Oh, and I FINALLY got to meet my friend Gabby in personnnn! We took a pic yayayyy~
So we're all there working the m&g- Me, David, Hana, Amanda, Moon, Woo, AND JYP!! I had missed himm!! When he saw me he gave me a big hug and kiss like always~ LOVE my dad!! haha <333
It was really bittersweet though as I told them all the next day was my last day on the tour with them (little did I know... haha.)
Woo was like, 'Why aren't you going to Canada??' and I told him about how I didn't even have my passport or money to go.
and jokingly I was like 'But if you guys take me on the BUS WITH you guys....'
and he was like 'No, actually, I've been wanting to bring you on the bus along with us for a long time, but there's just been no room! As of now there are 14 people in it and only 12 bunks!!'
...um... they've been wanting to take me on the tourbus with them but there was no room???? Heck, I'd sleep on the floor or in the bathroom if it meant being there with them- LOL!
At this point I think I go outside and say hi to WOW who were with Kasey, Sarah and Ashley and see what they all were up to. After I check in with them, I get back to WG stuffsss.
Hannah was there, and then at the end we took pics and bonded a bit more with WG <33.

Hana gave me a WG hat! (The one's that the Jonas Brothers wear during kickball games and such. :D)
The girls are really sad to hear that the next day was my last day. :(((((
So after it all we say goodbye, we then go outside to meet up with WOW and everyone.
We hang out for a while and chat and such.
The guys selling cotton candy comes over and is like FREE COTTON CANDYYYYY!! and we're like huh??? And he's just like TAKE IT!! So he gives us a ton of free cotton candy?? hahaha.
We eat it. It's not that great. LOL!

So after we're with WOW for a while, we say bye and see ya tomorrow! Before we leave though, we run into Bram, Seth and Chris Koon, and have thee FUNNIEST little hang out with them. Omg bahahaha. They are crazy and I love them :D



So after we finallyyyyy say bye, we drive to Cleveland!
And who do we run into on the road again?
Yep, Wonder Girls' tour bus- LOLOL!
We follow it-ish to their hotel. I get off, and say hi again to everyone hahaha. I really needed to go to the bathroom, so I asked the hotel person if I could use it. She was like, normally it would be a NO, buttt... and then she told me where it was. I guess cause she saw that I knew the whole WG crew she knew I was legit LOL!
So I rode the elevator up with Yenny and she was asking me if JB were staying there, too. (Yes?? I found it funny that she would ask me haha)
So I walk to the bathroom, and as I do I pass this room thing with couches where some fans and their moms I think were like sitting waiting.
They spot me and like watch me walk?
Then... one of the ladies follows me into the bathroom??? LOLOL
Oh how the tables have turned. HAHHAHA
So then I left, and she kind of followed me again but she went back to her little couch thingy. bahahah.
Right before I left, David came up to me and asked if I wanted to go this filming thing with them, and to meet at the hotel at 12:30 the next day.
I said okay and bye, and then hopped back into the car with Sarah, Kase and Ash, and we drove to a hotel a few blocks down and checked in.
It was SOOOO late and we were sooo tired.
Everyone fell asleep and I was still kind of up. Story of my life hahaha.
The next day was going to be one of THEE BEST DAYS OF MY LIFEEE
